Emily, her Mom and other JDRF Advocates along with their families meet with Congressman Randy Hultgren in July, 2013 for a “Promise to Remember Me” Campaign to support the Special Diabetes Program.

 

Emily attended JDRF Children’s Congress in July, 2013. Children’s Congress consisted of 160 Type 1 Diabetic Delegates chosen from across the country and internationally to speak with members of Congress on why we need a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

Emily meets with Senator Dick Durbin at his office in Washington DC to discuss her Type 1 Diabetes scrap book. This was one of her responsibilities as a Delegate for Children’s Congress 2013.

Emily meets with Vice President Joe Biden at Children’s Congress 2013. A once in a lifetime experience!
